imperfections.

I recently realised that my top lip is smaller than my bottom lip. This really annoyed me. I then pointed this out to my mum, who told me that it's a part of me. I thought this through and realised that so many of the things that people hate about themselves, the imperfections and flaws, are the things that make them who we are. Is doesn't matter if we have bigger thighs then the girl next to us, or if we weight a little more than your best friend, who is a sports nut.

It's the little things that make us who we are; we're all unique, so why do so many of us try and change that fact? What is so appealing to people to dye their hair blonde, to become sticks, to become stereotypical? We judge people because of so called flaws and imperfections, esspecially guys; she's hot, but have you seen her nose? No way, man. I don't want to be judged and told what I have to look like. I don't want to be told, oh, you have glasses and braces, you must be ugly. Oh, hell no! I refuse to have that happen and for people to tell me who I am. Nothing is wrong with you being more comfortable in a bookstore than going to clothing stores. Nothing is wrong with you wanting to wear shorts all the time, not dressing up and not covering yourself with makeup so thick that you need a spatula to get it off.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, don't let the little things change who you are. They're a part of you, and nothing can change that. Don't change yourself to make people happy with you, or like you. Be comfortable in your own skin and never let yourself forget that you're beautiful. (:
